If you know me, you know that I love setting goals. I love knowing that I have something put into place that I am working towards achieving. And when the beginning of the school year rolls around, it’s like the beginning of a new year. I love taking the time to sit down and reevaluate my goals and even set new ones if I so choose. Since starting this little blog of mine I’ve gained a small following of several thousand people, so I figured if I shared them on here with all of you, it would keep me more accountable and likely to stay on track. Plus, if I motivate any of you to set goals or even to reevaluate goals that you have already set for yourself, I’m beyond thrilled.
Join at least one more organization
While I quickly jumped into two organizations my freshman year of college, one of them simply wasn’t for me. While I’m not typically one to quit things, since the organization was such a time commitment and so costly, I had to call it quits. Now that I have some major free time, I’m looking to join at least one more organization that goes along with my major and possibly one that goes along with my personal interests.
Schedule times for studying and blogging everyday
One of the best tips that I learned my freshman year of college was to schedule time every day for the things that are important to you. I already have time scheduled for school, working out, and for my organizations, so if studying and blogging are important to me, why not have time set aside for those as well? While obviously studying will take up a lot more time than blogging, blogging is the perfect thing for me to schedule in as a study break.
I obviously have some consistency issues and I’m hoping to fix that. I’m not going to lie, when I started my blog it was difficult for me to want to continue since my page views where so low. After having one of my pins gain, and still continue to gain, some major traffic from Pinterest and Google, I’ve gotten encouragement to write more and to do so consistently. My ultimate goal is 3-4 posts a week, with at least 2 posts on the crazy weeks. You know, the ones where you have 4 tests and 2 of them are on the same day? Yeah. Those.
Take more pictures
Two of my very close friends take pictures of everything. Events happening during sorority recruitment, funny things that happened in their dorms, when they run into someone they haven’t seen in a while, and even their ice cream. This semester I am hoping to take more pictures, even if they are on my iPhone. My fingers are crossed that it teaches me to appreciate the little things in life even more.
Apply for leadership positions
I have a list of positions I would like to apply for tucked away into a journal. My goal is to sit down and figure how and when the application processes begin and go for it. While I would love to get the leadership positions, my ultimate goal is to at least try for them. And if I get them, then obviously I will be quite excited.
Work out at least 3 times a week
I absolutely love going to the workout classes that are provided through my university’s rec center. And while I’ve bought a class pass every semester thus far, I’ve only attended PiYo, cycling, TurboKick, and Insanity classes. Along with my goal to work out at least 3 times a week, I also hope to mix it up and try some new classes. I’d love to try out some of the yoga classes and check out ballet bootcamp.
Better my social media presence
Sometimes since my social media presence is so lacking, I wonder how I could even truly be considered a teenager. I would love to update my social media’s regularly. I’m not pushing for every day, I’m just hoping or every other day or every three days.
